Sorry the translation was a bit late. Fried out a bit from Granblue because Unite and Fight, and completely forgot this was getting uploaded today...

But heh, a group onsen trip when Mahiro's getting more and more desperate about retaining his manlyhood. This'll be fun.

It's fine, take your time! It's not like it's going anywhere (hopefully)

And yes, that could be fun.......

Unite and Fight is one of the many grindy reasons I ended up quitting that game once I learned FGO was getting a US release. It was rather... discouraging to realize just how much I would have to grind just to make one of my teams viable.

It's actually pretty fun when you've got a good party for the element and a few cool crewmates to fight with... Well, fun at first. Then you remember it's a complete grindfest and you have to throw all your chips in. But the grind is a normal part of Granblue, so it's not much more taxing than the usual.

I agree, Unite and Fight is a bit difficult at first, but later on it get better. Tho yes GBF require a lot of grinding

I can't way to see mahiro's reaction to the onsen trip

A bit of a shame he doesn't keep acting like a big brother. I'm sure a blonde loli headpatting the "big" sister would make for a cute image. How do they call that, age gap or something?

I think I mentioned this before, but that probably plays into Japanese cultural stereotypes. As I understand it, the eldest sibling is supposed to be the most accomplished and stand out of the bunch. Mahiro is absolutely not that, his younger sister eclipsing him in almost every way in terms of accomplishments, drive, and even social connectivity. So he- and the author- may be subconsciously influenced that MAhiro should behave as the younger sibling, especially now that he looks it and even has it as a cover story. I could be wrong about all of this.

That actually explains a lot of things I never really understood in Great Teacher Onizuma, Silver Spoon and 12 Beasts. And also Naruto and whatever others stories had the little brother chasing after the big brother.
But still, I still want to see the little Mahiro acting like the big brother once in a while. Even if his self-esteem was shattered and broke in piece by his sister doing better than him.

Not just Japanese, I believe this is in most asian cultures as well. Parents spend all their time/money on the first born child and usually just kinda scoffs the other children. "we dont have a favorite child" my ass. So much pressure gets put on the Oldest child while the younger siblings actually get more freedom to do what they want. And in my experience, it gets bad to the point where parents are outright controlling the oldest child's lives too.

'tis not exclusive to the Japanese, you can also find that in Europe. But it's mostly in old nobles families. We don't have these in my country anymore because we got rid of the filth, but I think that still happens in England.
And also, during the Middle Ages. The firstborn would get the share of the lion, the others would become bishop and stuff.

Nope doesn't happen here in England, as the eldest of three siblings I can definitely say we were all treated equally

You know, it's always the favorite child that swears they were all treated equally...

Anyway, in Western tradition, it depends on the parent. Some will favor the eldest, some will favor the youngest, and a few will even favor a middle child. My parents were both youngest children who felt their oldest brothers got the preferential treatment, so they wound up favoring my younger brother as some sort of compensation/revenge by proxy, for example.

I know what you're getting at and for the most part I agree. In our case though, our mother worked in the UK education system and before that had worked with children pretty much since she left school so she knows a hell of a lot about child development and how important it is not to favour one over the others...it also helped that we had fuck-all by the way of disposable income so anything we did get was on the basis that we shared it.

We all went to the same school, we each got equal assistance from our parents (which is to say none, they wanted us to figure out stuff ourselves except in extreme situations such as when a teacher who didn't like me decided to get a few of his favourites to bully me by proxy), and the only help we got at uni was washed clothes and some help with rent if we needed it. When my middle brother and I dropped out they simply let us get on with it while my youngest went on to graduate. They didn't push him harder because he was still in uni and they didn't treat my other brother or myself any differently because we weren't.

The only expectation they have held for any of us was to make our own choices and take responsibility for them.

Are you a noble, and therefore relevant to my post, or are you a filthy commoner and therefore irrelevant? Because I do think I said "old nobles families".
