父傘さんにスマホはオーバースペックすぎると思うので、母傘共々ガラケーですね。
やりたいと言うなら止めませんけど、本人もお金かかりすぎるのであんまり興味ないみたいです。

I think a smart phone is way too overspec for Papa-gasa-san, so he and Mama-gasa both have old-style cell phones.

I won't stop him if he says he wants to do it, but he himself doesn't seem that interested since he also thinks it'll cost too much. Even though I was asked whether he could use Twitter! :-)
