    It's been an absurdly long time.
    Even though I was in the middle of a PuchiColle story, I thought I'd do some practice with an original work first given how long it has been since my last strip and also to resharpen my drawing skills.
    This is my first time doing an original work so I think some characters might be changed and stuff might be added later on, but please continue giving it your support!
    So far as submission frequency, I'm thinking that about once every three days would be about right.

    The work takes place in a world where youkai are considered ordinary, and revolves around humans living with youkai.
    Youkai can be seen or can't be seen, but what's been seen can't be unseen.
    The last line is actually a reference to this skit.

    Also, having been away from PuchiColle this long, he'd have a lot of work to do to reconstruct the current state of play in that series's storyline. Things like what puchis have been introduced, what their (and their shipgirls') personalities and character tics are, what their relationships are, and extra little quirks (like the fact that Tenryuu and Kiso puchis exist, but are disguised as Tenko and Miso with the animalizer - heck, it's been so long that I had to look up their animal names!)

    It probably wouldn't matter too much if he forgot some details, since PuchiColle just isn't the sort of story where continuity is that big a deal. (For example, speaking of Miso, I figure he had forgotten that he'd established an Abyssal puchi disguised as a Kiso puchi when he set up Tenko and Miso.) But if nothing else, he'd been in the middle of a storyline based on a saury-fishing event and he'd have at least reread the last dozen or so strips so that he could wrap that one up somehow.

    So... new original puchis! Should be fun.

    From what I can grasp of it, it's just a made-up name chosen specifically to be easy to use for the puns they wanted to use in its original form. However, here, it's meant as a reference to that skit, so this would be more like having a random Monty Python reference in the commentary. I guess you can't really say there's any direct way to translate that, and you just have to get creative in translation.
