What dialect is Yamanba using, anyway? Just realized she's being translated in a Scottish accent, so now I'm curious what her dialect actually is.

Old and rustic-sounding with 'jya's and long 'nou's. Since she's, essentially, in the highlands, Scottish is good enough!

I think this is more of a "mystery meat special", of the "I've no idea what the fuck this is" variety.

That was posted before we got the full translations.

I'm even more strongly reminded of a gag from Hare+Guu, in which Guu defeats a bear that was menacing Hare's family... Hare passes out and wakes up to his mom and (some other young woman, dunno who) enjoying and serving him a delicious meat meal. When he asks suspiciously what kind of meat it was, they pause for a moment, chorus "Meat!" and dig back in.

At least this time it probably isn't the bear...
