I kinda think yuurei should make it official that Shiki became some other kind of youkai. He clearly wants Shiki to be a combination tsukkomi/butt-monkey to Mieru, and having her be that and a zashiki-warashi and having Mieru wandering all over the place is just narratively untenable.

I've been concerned at her absence.

Considering it's been hinted that she's a spiritually damaged zashiki warashi, she might not have the full powers... nor the full set of restrictions.
