MHX Alter's Sith-ness has been noted before, but I think that background is straight out of The Phantom Menace. Specifically, the scene with the force-field pylons/gates/whatever. Also, pixiv has this tagged Darth Maul.

The Maul tag was added later by someone who wasn't Kei Suwabe. The background is also similar to the Death Star and several other Star Wars backgrounds. At most I'd tag Star Wars.
