@Paracite: I cannot figure out how you got "lost your nerve" from 腰砕 ("breaking down (while in the middle of something); faltering halfway"). It seems obvious that it's referring to Admiral Hisamura (who was already quite exhausted) collapsing in the middle of having sex with Iowa.
Because I was doing this at 2am - there's a reason it's got a check_trasnslation on it. It certainly doesn't seem that obvious when it appears that Bismarck, talking to Iowa, would be also talking about Iowa in the comment. (As in, she faltered in watchfulness)

But "lost your nerve" doesn't mean anything close to "faltered in watchfulness", it means that you became too afraid to go through with what you've been trying to do.
... OK, so putting the newer translations of the middle panel together with page 166's first panel, am I correct in assuming that what happened is that Iowa bit off more than she could chew by removing "flight" from Hisamura's options, leaving him with no choice but to break off all the limiters and "fight" his way out of his predicament (i.e. relentlessly power-sex Iowa to the ground even if she pleads with him to slow down or stop)?
