The day has finally come, when a regenerator appears on Danbooru. Dammit, I'm with you Akaineko; I am never touching Resident Evil 4 again, for fear of losing my sanity and ability to sleep and ability to do anything while keeping my legs on the floor.
god i know i hated those damned regenarators they where tough and that was bad but what made it realy annoying was how theyd seem to blend in and there rasping sort breaths would sound like its comming from everywhere*shudders* i too couldnt sleep well for sevral days and even then i had my machette under my pillow every night after seeing those dam,ned things
Yeah, those things scared the living piss out of me (not literally, thank god) on my first run through...once I learned how to take them out, though, they actually became the easiest things in the game for me to deal with.

You shoot off its legs, laugh as it wriggles on the ground, and then scream like a little girl when it suddenly leaps off the floor and latches its teeth into your neck. Yeah, I remember that.
Oh God, I remember those fuckers. There was this one room in the entire game that scared the shit outta me: no music, you could only hear the raspy breath of the Regenerator somewhere, and then there was this lid you can open where there is a tied up burlap sack that starts to fucking wriggle!
And this is the part where I thought all the Regenerators were gone so I sold my fucking IR scope!!!
Those guys are the freakiest monsters i have ever faced. LoL @ holo for selling th IR Scope. Well there is another alternative. 1 flame grenade and a couple of shotgun rounds should do the trick.
The Regenerators were the best enemies in RE4 and that's just because how they can creep you out so much.

Lol i remember how i was shocked when i ran through the prison (u know the long corridor with the Prison Cells on the side) and a regenerator appeared before me, comeing from the left.

Man I stopped the game because of them, I'm out of shotgun shells, herbs, rifle ammo and the only thing I got on me is some handgun shells. There is no way I can beat them.
They only begin to run if you toy with them by walking away from them slowly for an extended amount of time. Then they'll begin to run. That or if they are a few shots away from death but still standing and not down on the floor with their legs shot off.
I played once with a friend. We were at the waste facility. He was going the wrong way and i told him to turn around and go the other way quick because we could hear a low breathing sound. He was paranoid at this point since it seemed to be coming from everywhere! He finally turns around only to face a regenerator right in his face!XD. He was really startled.lol
Yeah...they walk faster on professional, and they run more often. Scared the hell out fo me first time I fought 'em. Was running away crying, firing my shotgun, praying I could kill it.
The one in the hallway, or rather- the prison way, if you stick right up against the left wall, you can walk right into the cell the regenerater is lurking without it noticing you.
You can also knife it to death this way. |D
This how I learned regeneraters eyes constantly twirl about in their sockets, and are never in sync with each other. Thus, they scared the hell out of me. ;A;

I remember that place...I opened the lid, saw the dammed bag move, and unloaded the entire clip of my Matilda into it before I realized it was no threat...

you guys think regenerators are bad. try playing killer7. the heaven smile are far more terrifying. instead of that raspy breath.....they laugh maniacally.
I love that we've all had an experience with these things.
Just to add my own to the pile, I walked into the prison, saw a red herb at the end of the hall. Thought: "sweet! I'll combine it with my green one." Ran down the hall and grabbed it. Heard the breathing, stopped turning around. I thought "...Oh god no." I turned a to face it and got my face bitten off.
