    Hang in There, Kogasa-san 3021

That's a fairly normal price for studless tires, though.

I also considered how driving on normal tires would be no good if it snowed, but I'll draw about that tomorrow. Please don't read just today's strip, jump to the wrong conclusion and get mad at me. (^^;)

Why pay for labor? If you can install Cruise Control yourself you can install them yourself.

Wiring something is different from moving 40-50lb tires and using an impact hammer to lock tires on.

You know that you can *krhm* roll those tires right? It's not really that hard to change tires.

But really, 120,000 yens for a set with labor? That's a bit too much unless he was going for new set of rims too or Japan is way too expensive. If it's a K-car then the wheels probably aren't even that big so they'd be cheap too, hmm.

Then again, where I live it is necessary to switch between winter and summer tires every year which that keeps the tire sellers busy and in return they don't have to have that big prices.

Do you think he keeps those tools handy, and is in the physical shape required to ratchet them on? I'm not sure he is, even if he's relatively car crazy.

Plus, it doesn't snow that bad in Tokyo, does it? If he was in Hokkaido, it'd probably be cheaper anyways.

Cars usually come with the equipment for changing tires and I sure managed to change them tires even though I am a lazy programmer with weak physique. But it isn't exactly something nice to do so I can see the appeal for letting someone else to do it for you, even I do it sometimes.

    So, you're going to Ōminato?
    Yes, I am!
    It Surprised Me
But that's in March, right? Will you be okay with the snow?
    My tires, huh...
    At the tire shop...
It cost too much for me to buy...
So that's four studless tires and four wheels.
    How'd it go?
I'll pray that it doesn't snow!
That will be ¥120,000, including labor.
