I think the main reason is that it's been said Yostar would want nothing to do with him perhaps in part due to all the trouble he caused at MICA. For him to do a shipgirl would be a radical turn around on this. Then again they got C-list at best Waterkuma to do a shipgirl at the same time....

And while there hasn't been a 100% comfirmation to my knowledge, a GFL expert I know responded "That's a Suisai face" when shown this/asked about it being Suisai.

Edit: I checked Suisai's weibo and twitter for any hints, found none.

Guess for all the drama he kicked, Suisai learned the hard way that he need to be as rich as Notch to pull it or learn some humility and adjust his attitude if he want to sleep under a roof.

Best not to pry to far into it, from my understanding he was basically slacking on his work and causing trouble for other staff (Saru), trying to start up stuff and spreading false rumours. Around when the 3rd christmas procurement pool happened on CN, that was the last time we saw Suisai at MICA. He basically had a tantrum on weibo, saying shit about MICA (when it was the opposite), YZ stepped in and proved him wrong, Saru stepped in as well Because if Suisai was slacking on his artwork and not submitting things on time, Saru's not gonna be able to get a start on the respective chibi's.

Its not just that either, and i dont really care to go into it, Drama is a waste of time and frankly, i'd rather not encourage doomposting.

Short version: Suisai, if you believe ANYTHING on Weibo, is a bad worker and caused problems for EVERYONE. Again, if the rumors were true, Yostar/Manjuu, Mihoyo, and even Lowlight don't want to commission him to do anything.

The only possible reason this exists is if it was an older work and Yostar/Manjuu has wised up since then.

No need to doompost about any company since he's pretty much toxic fallout to any company who even so much as inquire about his abilities.

Either way, it's pretty obvious this is not old work. Compare to his released girls in GFL and you can clearly tell this has much more refinement artstyle-wise.
Fact is Manjuu commissioned this recently, then commissioned a second artwork (White Princess skin), then Live2D'd it. They are clearly not unwilling to work with him.
