as much as i agree she's not one to go down so easily, she's surprisingly resourceful, and she has no hesitation. while you contemplate what you're going to do to her, she's going to do it to you. that's why i said don't doubt the power of a Yandere.
I hate the yandere arch-type. I think it's ridiculious and immoral that people like deranged murdering freaks, calling them cute, and expressing approval, when instead justice should prevail.
As for running away, it'd depend upon the circumstances. Certainly, I'd prefer not to confront a psychopath alone. I wouldn't look for a fight, but I would seek to stop them by all means, with a mind towards personal safety and the safety of others.
I love the Yandere, especially Yuno. She Yuuki so much that she cannot bear to see him with another woman. So what if she is crazy? Her parents made her that way by forcing her to live in a cage and starving her for a slight slip in grades. She's interesting, cute, loving, faithful, intelligent, and she knows how to kill(she's good at it)!
Still, just because you hate the Yandere character archetype doesn't mean you have to condemn the people who like it. Some of us think it's a very useful fictional plot-device - we don't necessarily like the evils these characters do. If they help move the story along (and maybe even have a change of heart along the way), then they're a welcome addition to the cast.
Unless you're an expert tactician, there's no way you can beat Yuno in a fight.
For one thing, she'll automatically call your challenge and realise her disadvantage and correct it with her own fixes. You'll get your throat slit before you even get your arms around her.
And that's if she even agrees, she'll probably refuse if it has no real reason to be done or if you aren't threatening either her or Yuki.
Yuno has been proven to be an expert in adaptability and flexibility when it comes to fighting the other diary holders despite having probably the crappiest of the diaries among them. She won't lose out to some guy in a wrestling match for sure.
I think there's a fine line between characters you like and characters you could get along with. Overall, I doubt I'd be able to hang around Yuno knowing what she does because I also think killing is wrong but that doesn't mean I hate her.
She has morals mind you, however...they're different than ours. Morals and priorities change from person to person and I've learnt you can't exactly apply everything to everyone (case in point, children) because those morals change based on situation and upbringing. Justice and Pain can both be seen as justice to a person depending on how they were brought up, maybe we're confusing what real justice is ourselves?
Maybe she would think you attempting to kill her, attempting to end her happiness as a way of killing Yuki as well, as he has almost no chance of surviving without Yuno helping out.
Killers still think and breathe and live like anyone else, try to understand their reasons and why they do things before saying that they deserve to be put down.
Of course, most killers do the killings for selfish reasons...Yuno does it for Yuki.
On another note...you would kill to take down a killer? Sounds like your priories are a bit off too cloaknblade...see? If you killed someone and I suddenly decided that vigilantes should be killed because they don't follow the justice system...wouldn't you need me to try and understand your reasons too?

If I met a girl like her in the real world, I would deal with her, because she is a demented and dangerous freank to everyone around her. The circumstances behind her mental state do not matter.

This is not a real character, though, and her story does not take place in the real world. Enjoy ranting about nothing and taking fiction too seriously.
Whether or not you could get along with a character or even tolerate a character in real life really should not matter whether you would like that charater to be in a work of fiction. Otherwise you're saying that villians and the really bad antihero's shouldn't be included as well and any story without those archetypes tends to be fairly boring.
personally, I really, really love Yanderes. They add tension and excitement to any story they're put into. As an added bonus they also preclude any bullshit soap opera style romantic drama because they will kill any of their potentail rivals. It's too bad so few manga and anime use the Yandere archetype. It's probably because with extreme Yandere's like Yuno the main characters tend to start dying off rather quickly.
Just leave Cloak to himself and his delusions. He is not a Friend of Justice, he barely even qualifies as a Rider-wannabe.
That being said, I love Yuno. Easily the best yandere I've come across, and the only one I would have no problems stalking me, making marriage proposals, drugging me, strapping me to a chair, etc, etc.
I agree about the jealous bit and for the most about the drugging and strapping to a chair things I could also do without but her stalking me wouldn't be so much of a problem just as long as I didn't get home and find her trying to steal my boxers or something weird.....

I was going to disregard the fact that you don't like yanderes, but for this quote, you've just lost all credibility.
If you don't like so-and-so archetype, that's fine with me, that's your business and not mine's. But to stomp on someone's tastes for being "immoral," especially when said someone has done nothing bad with it?
