Did Volley-bu-chan snap Ai-chan's bra by mistake?

I'm guessing that Ai-chan got bigger in bust size by 2%, which Volleybu-chan determined through feeling that Ai-chan('s breasts on her arms) feels heavier than the last time she lifted her like this (which is probably quite a while if true).

Also, the comments on the tweet point out that she's wearing a striped bra (peeking from the gap in the shirt).

Where has it said that? The last time I remember a definitive update on Ai's size was in the 100th picture celebration (where they celebrated Ai hitting/passing 100cm).

People don't typically grow incrementally day by day - they grow in spurts, gaining a small but noticeable increase over a day or two with long periods of little to no growth in between spurts. This picture is implying that Ai just had a growth spurt (in her bustline, at least) and whatever size she was before, she's 2% bigger now. So if she was 102cm, she's about 104cm now (104.04cm if she grew by exactly 2% from exactly 102cm, but it's safe to assume that any numbers given have been rounded for convenience - among other things).

Not sure if I translated the first tweet correctly. 謎理論 is similarly a novel compound to me, and I have no clue what the best translation is.

Also, turns out there was a third tweet about the previous post that Himura (perhaps unknowingly) submitted as a standalone tweet rather than a reply. I added it and put the best translation that I could come up with.

Credits go to Dankanemitsu for his own translations of the tweets giving me at least the gist of what they're about, thus cutting down on the time spent on narrowing down the intended meanings.

Breast mass is proportional to breast volume, not bust circumference. Each additional cm of circumference adds more mass than the previous, as volume is cubic, but circumference is directly proportional to radius (assuming spherical breasts; close enough). You need to do your boob math on the weight of Ai’s breasts. By the numbers from the scale way back, 2 % is 80–100 grams.

No, it's quite opposite - you will get better sensevity resolution for measuring weight. Standart ball weighting less than 300g (10- ounces) which is very light for adolescent-adult trained body. For volleyball accuracy is crucial and for accuracy essential not only where you hit it, but how hard you hit it. Better your feel of that force means sharper your weight sensors there is general.
And there you learn your "2%" margin. There's a lot other examples to that statement.

You say all this, but the real truth is that she took up volleyball to improve her other form of "sphere-handling."

Fyi we can math it out:

We know mass is proportional to the cube of circumference (or radius or length; same thing in the end).
We'll declare that D is the circumference combined with some arbitrary constant that represents density and pi and etc. We'll also declare that M is mass.
D^3 = M.
Then we increase M by 2% and D by some unknown X%.
(D(1 + X))^3 = 1.02M
Let's do substitution using the previous equation and do some reshuffling.
D^3*(1+X)^3 = D^3*1.02
Factoring out the D^3...
(1+X)^3 = 1.02
1+X = cubeRoot(1.02)
X = cubeRoot(1.02) - 1 = 0.6623%

So assuming she was at 102cm she's now about 102.7cm. So it's a barely noticeable increase bust-wise.

No mention is made of which value has increased by 2%. While it's easy enough to assume that the increased weight is what tipped Volley-Bu off that Ai had grown, bust size is not typically measured by weight.

From what I can tell, the hate/dislike isn't that prevalent. We're not supposed to take overt and public groping like this seriously unless the character is clearly depicted as being a sleazy lecher if not a would-be rapist. Consider it a sexual equivalent of slapstick-comedic violence.
