He may have "expressed" willingness to consummate the marriage but that doesn't mean he's ever gonna get intimate with the girls he's married to. It'll just keep going on and on with the "too stupid to make a move" route and he'll get slapped for it. He'll also continue to not realize "why" Akatsuki and co are mad at him.

I might have missed that but really, Ooi not showing up because this is 6th DesDiv only story would already be enough reasons. We haven't seen anyone but Admibro and 6th DesDiv anyway.

Less this story in specific and more that Ooi hasn't been present in any of his works outside of one or two glancing cameos for over 2 years. Granted, he just started bringing back Kirishima and Haruna finally, but it's still apparent that Ooi has been out of focus for a while.

It feels like, by and large, the 4koma turned less into a Kancolle work than a "Mangaka sharing deadline troubles" bit that happened to use Kancolle characters. Akigumo's group basically took over almost completely. The bits they weren't in focus tended to be absurdist bits that used Ruujou as a tsukkomi. Unless I've missed something, cast has been basically become Circle Au Clou + Ryuujou's Manzai Duo, featuring occasional cameos from other ships in their segments and brief Hiei interludes.
