Blizzard may be a shadow of their former selves, but they also had alot further to fall than Square Enix, who've been on a steady decline since the 90s. Actually maybe since the merger with Enix.

That too, but I'm more concerned about those SJW asswipes raising a stink about misprepresentation or some other bullshit and making the devs cull this portion od the game.

I'm more worried they'll censor Barret's hateboner for Shinra. He was almost consumed by vengeance, but a combination of factors saved him mostly through sheer luck, rather than grace. For example, if Sephiroth hadn't unceremoniously killed President Shinra off-screen, Barret wouldn't have undergone some much needed introspection. And if he hadn't gotten Jesse, Biggs, and Wedge killed, he wouldn't have stepped down as leader.

Barret's both held back and propelled forward by a guilty conscience. He feels guilty for what happened to his village, because he trusted and advocated for Shinra. He feels guilty for what happened to Jesse, Biggs, and Wedge because he lead them into a fight they couldn't really win.

He believed the stuff about Lifestream and the Planet, not because he understood it, but because it was a nice pretext to doing what he really wanted to do; make Shinra pay.

But Barret's a big black guy. Frothing anger and introspection are not politically correct. For the lack of a better term, they'll white wash him, and Avalaunche.
