If you look at this series in reverse, it's a pretty great love story between a creator and his creation.

Dr. Cain is responsible for doing a very bad job copying X's programming. As for body design, nobody knows yet.

Given enough time and people, these kind of designs are bound to pop up sooner or later.
I mean you gotta have some fun when you're stuck around trying to make ends meet as a researcher, right.
