I've heard of not much hate. I just saw one post that said she looks like a kindergartener with giant breasts, and that was "disgusting".

Uzaki is going to pass to history as the character that triggered the most amount of SJWs and fake anime fans. The reason of why they're trying to "cancel" her is absurd and pathetic.

Twitter has been on fire over her for weeks. Woke Twitter hates her for being "unrealistic" and quite a few mediocre artists have "fixed" her design, mostly by making her overweight and drawing her the same way they would a white character even though she's Asian.

Her design isn't any worse than plenty of other anime characters, at least.

I don't think you could get any worse when it comes to her outfit. Denim skirt + tights, uggs, and the mega milk shirt with a Supreme logo slapped on top make her almost look like a typical American college student. Uninspired clothing choices, boring color scheme, and unflattering to her proportions.

If they were going for the "I'm not trying, it's college" look then it works, but it's not a good outfit to represent the entire series. They could've chosen anything else for below the waist.

Wow, they made a college student in a show about two college students dress like a college student. That definitely isn't a suitable look to represent the series /s

It's fine if you don't like denim skirts but you don't need to act like it's somehow offending that she wears one.

You can definitely do denim skirts better than this. Just look at Android 18.

I'm not really surprised because it's Twitter, but man if this is enough to trigger them, imagine if or when they find out how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I don't like the phrase "sjw". I'm for social justice, does that make me a fake anime fan? Because I can tell you right now it doesn't.

Those who say "sjw" unironically tend to be more alligned with the fashy, white supremacist bloc of the web and greater society, and think all criticsm=censorship. Spoilers, it don't.

It would probably help if the majority of people fighting for "social justice" weren't actively trying to censor everything they don't like. Those exact people tried to censor Uzaki-chan by directing a fit at Japan's blood drive until they got the Uzaki-chan standee taken down, only for it to be put back up later because people stopped donating blood during the period it was gone.

"Social justice" stopped being a respected term a long time ago.

You can be for social justice without becoming a "warrior" for it.
There is no war to be waged, to begin with, and the "sjw"s have been waging a war by themselves and ruining the movement for social justice.
What they do is NOT criticism, they want anything they don't like erased.

    Cancelling =/= criticism.

I hate SJW as much as everyone else. Yet I find ironic you are trying to cancel (read: downvote) everything you don't like. You are not any better than them, prove them wrong bunch of cancel culture hypocrites. :)

Social justice will be earned once everyone does their own part starting by themselves and they stop pointing fingers at everything. If you do what you should, people will follow you. If you attack everything without giving a proper example or proposing a solution that doesn't involve censor them, well you'll receive exactly the same too. Think about that "warrior".

Who are you even talking to? Do you have to jump into every discussion and actively antagonize people? Downvotes don't even do anything, they're the most harmless expression of opinion ever.

I don't remember talking to you? Why do you jump on every discussion I express an honest opinion? I'm sure downvoting for some it means the poster should shut up. For others a way keep the comment board short by quoting previous messages on their answer. For me it means my opinion has been read so it fillfulled its purpose.

Breaking news!! The comment section is intended for commumity to express themselves. There are no rules that say I should take a side and antagonize only the other team. There is something called neutral expression and tolerance to opinions you do not agree on. You should try it some time. Now move along and be a better person next time please.

I never understood the hate for her...then again I am a legs/tights kind of person so I find more enjoyment of those aspects to her outfit design then the obvious size of her chest.
Don't get me wrong, breasts no matter what size they are (flat to big like hers), are lovely in their own unique way, but its not something to really complain about.

"Social justice warrior" stopped meaning anything other than "caring about other people" a long time ago. L of Shame completely has the right of it.

Frankly the anime fandom is trash and gatekeeping and whiny weebbros bitching about about mythical "SJWs" any time a thing they like is criticized are just two reasons why.

If by "caring about other people" you mean forcing themselves into other people's business, calling people pedos and rapists just for having different opinions, and telling people from other countries and cultures how they should feel about things, then yeah, they "care" about other people a whole lot.

The people you keep trying to insist don't exist have been trying to force their values and opinions on Japan for months over things like Ghost of Tsushima, Uzaki-chan, and a neverending list of things that aren't hurting anyone.

    I actually can't.
The definition might be mutable according to narrative necessity, too.
    I'm not sure.

    Edit:
Also, on second thought, I get too much of this discussion on twitter already, I don't think I'll follow this discussion here.

It's because she's short and cute, so naturally, westerners think she's a "child" with tits tacked on, when it's established in the manga, the anime and by her creator that she's an adult collage student, who happens to also be above average height for a japanese woman, not a western woman, which they keep comparing her to.

This right here is the correct response. Nutjobs are nutjobs simply ignoring them would've done wonders especially if they're westerners because no matter how much they screech it wouldn't have matter. Honestly this feedback loop of outrage is tiresome and all it really achieved was giving a spotlight to a couple nutjobs .
