Is there a way to shorten the copyright's title?

Encrypting the whole title would probably yield something more memorable than KOJgKnMOnDSR~RnYKS.

It's not uncommon for huge titles like that to get a shortened alias, though that's sort of fallen by the wayside now that we have tag autocomplete.

At least we can cut "~ ... ~" part. Even Yomu omitted that part in the commentary of post #4102921.

This has got to be one of the dumbest light novel titles ever. It really takes the cake.

That whole 'subtitle' in the "~ ... ~" part ? Completely unnecessary. Even the editor(s) for the actual official novels seem to think so, because they just tack the numbering on the first part while completely ignoring the 'subtitle'. So they get something like:

• kibishii onna joushi ga koukousei ni modottara ore ni deredere suru riyuu ~ ryoukataomoi no yarinaoshi koukousei seikatsu ~
• kibishii onna joushi ga koukousei ni modottara ore ni deredere suru riyuu2 ~ ryoukataomoi no yarinaoshi koukousei seikatsu ~
• kibishii onna joushi ga koukousei ni modottara ore ni deredere suru riyuu3 ~ ryoukataomoi no yarinaoshi koukousei seikatsu ~

(And that's how they are listed too on sales webpages for book sellers. e.g. Honto, Amazon)

...Like, what's even the point of the 'subtitle', if the actual title 'changes' but the 'subtitle' doesn't?

Even actual libraries (ctrl-F and search for 厳しい女上司が高校生に戻ったら俺にデレデレ) truncate the 'subtitle' part off despite leaving most of the other ridiculously long LN titles intact.

And trying to search ”厳しい女上司が高校生に戻ったら俺にデレデレ”　"略称" on Google turned up nothing useful. Apparently no fans have thought up of a consistent short name yet (e.g. Konosuba, Watamote, Danmachi). So the LN must suck, if it didn't have enough fans to think up of a useful short name (especially for something that really needs this like this LN). Only thing that seem consistent is cutting the extraneous subtitle off, like what yomu (sgt_epper) (the illustrator) did.

Funnily enough, ”厳しい女上司が高校生に戻ったら俺にデレデレ”　"略称" gets me multiple hits of people joking about the pointlessly long name. e.g. "Come on, someone come up with a short name already, I'm hitting my Twitter word limit here!"

So, motion we rename the copyright to kibishii_onna_joushi_ga_koukousei_ni_modottara_ore_ni_deredere_suru_riyuu, cutting the 'subtitle' off. Or, if we must keep the 'subtitle', kibishii_onna_joushi_ga_koukousei_ni_modottara_ore_ni _deredere_suru_riyuu: ryoukataomoi_no_yarinaoshi_koukousei_seikatsu, to remove the tildes and keep it consistent with how 'subtitles' are handled (including in romanized form, even when the original sets it off in double "~...~" tildes or double 'dashes' "ー...－").

For further clarification (to provide context on the title and 'subtitle'), the title translates as "The Reason Why My Strict Female Boss Turned Deredere on Me After Turning Back into a High School Student", while the 'subtitle' translates as "Highschool Life Where We Redo Our Mutual Crushes".
