I found this years ago, can't remember for the life of me where from though... Has anyone seen this figure anywhere? I'm dying to see the other side of it, like her face... Is it even Japanese? Looking at her hair I'd say it isn't but I still wanna see... Can anyone help?
It's definately not japanese...because japanese law requires any type of porn/adult matter to censor the pubic/reproductive areas lower than the waist.
Actually, quite a lot of resin figures have exposed/uncensored genatalia.
The garage kit industry is largely unregulated, much the same as the doujinshi industry is. (And while, yes, most doujins have censors, they are rarely enough to satisfy japanese law.) So I would say that it is likely that this is a japanese kit, or a modification of a japanese kit.
Well yeah I guess the word modification would fit right in here if it is Japanese... Hmm, I've often thought about the garage kits but I'm not great at painting so...
Again, though, there's a good possibility that it's unmodified. As I said, garage kits aren't exactly regulated. They don't fall into the classification of pornography, really, and they're produced in such small quantities that policing it would be inefficient besides.
That said, if you were interested in purchasing this you might have some degree of trouble finding it. The older a garage kit gets, the harder it gets to find a kit, and harder still to find a kit that's actually worth buying. The original cast of a garage kit only pumps out a handful of figures due to the silicon molds breaking down after a relatively short time. Recasts can be made, but they carry any flaws that may have developed on the surface of the original kit. And if the recasts use the same molding procedure (and they do, if they're worth buying) they can still only get relatively few kits out of the mold.
So with each new generation of the kit the quality gets lower, and there's less desirability for low-quality kits, so less recasts get produced.
