Fun fact: If you jump away right when the bridge blows, you can remain in the boss arena and not go to Hydrocity Zone until you jump into the pit you were supposed to call into. Furthermore, if you're playing as Tails or are co-opping as Sonic and Tails, Tails can actually fly up and stand right beside Knuckles, as the invisible barrier meant to prevent that only barely goes past the top of the screen.
