Yeah, it is supposed to go up to nine tails and then back to four. I don't know what the artist was thinking but it is kind of amusing.

She's does. After 9, Ran's supposed to lose one until she has 1 left, then she attains divinity.

Chapter 11 in Oriental Sacred Place introduced a new raccoon character. She's probably a one-off character though, and nobody knows her name.

This pic should be kept as the last pic in the "The Yakumo Family" pool. It's the perfect ending to it, as the cycle is complete: a 9-tailed nekomata, an 18-tailed kitsune, a tanuki, and Yukari STILL has that body.

I need to learn more about Danbooru so I can help keep that pic at the ending. Just too fitting.
