I'm assuming the Fallout 3 person sniffed her feet. There is a similar affect from drinking from toilets in the game (though that only gives you something like 20 rads). post #389303 is related.

Well, if you'll allow me to be a pedantic ass about this, technically what is on the bottom of the picture is the rads PER SECOND count, not the player's total rad count. It's a measure of the environment the player is in, not his rad count (which is seen on the pipboy)
Thus, given the text, they haven't been doing much for long. However, I feel unclean and will need to wash up. Blech.

The *number* is the rate of rads per second. The total amount of your radiation is the *arrow* along the scale of 0 to 1000 rads. He's just over 600 rads in this picture, compared to 100 from the last one.
