I've ate dried grasshoppers (chapulines) before and they taste like a mix of tortilla chips and dried shrimp, not that bad and I think that's something I would love served with a beer in a bar.

I remember that we have a lot of edible bugs here in Mexico. I want to taste escamoles, which are basically the larvae of a type of ant.

I've ate deep fried tiny scorpions once, and bc it's deep fried, doesn't taste like anything.

Also eaten cicada nymph from Shandong cuisine once, it was so heavily marinated that I can only taste the marinate.

Also according to Haachama tarantulas are gooey or sticky?? She's kinda expert on entomophagy.

Been thinking of trying cricket flour though.
