So I can see this going two ways.

One is he starts realising his growing attraction to Osanai from the bond he already has with her and also starts to question his own feelings and thoughts about Kinjyou and will then lead to him to try and fix what he broke that would then result in a moment where he will finally have to choose between the two.

Two somewhat same as one but rather than getting introspective and start developing his personality and character better he goes through a depressed stage when he finally realized the implications of his actions previously and why Himekawa(The fans personified) got absolutely pissed at him.

I just hope he will leave and try to talk to her.

It came back to haunt him.

My hypothetical route: he finishes the date with a feeling of uneasiness by constantly remembering Osanai. From there, I just hope he realizes our little devil's feelings for him.

Hel already knew about it.

He was just afraid of going forward with it due to her being his first and really only friend right now.

Can you imagine what it would be like in his shoes?

His an Otaku he expected himself to crush on someone NOT the other way around.

And it's his first and only friend doing it to, that would honestly be horrifying because if he goes for it and they don't work out for example then he risk loosing or forever changing his friendship dynamic with her.

Kinda like how that would cause subconscious horror for him now it's his subconsciousness reminding him of her and what could have been had he be a little braver.
