paimon the goddess

my personal thought on Paimon is that she was sent by either said goddess to help the traveler see the world of Tyvat as beautiful to stop them from destroying it with their sibling OR she could be a fallen goddess that so happens to know the world. she does disappear in and out a lot in an unexplainable pop with a constilation sign floating around her. no mortal has that besides maybe Mona with her readings but yeah. she is a mystery

Most players already assume she's the very same unknown goddess that captured the other siblings. Unlike the Seven, Unknown Goddess was a man-made goddess that's created by Khaneri'ah, which was the same reason why it got destroyed. Khaneri'ah, being a nation of knowledge, machinery and engineering naturally won't have any reason to follow any of the Seven, so instead they opted to create their own God by using the Irminsul Tree (leyline tree). This action, however, distrupts the natural order, hence Celestia, the overseers of this world, tasked the Seven to eliminate the nation so this won't happen again.

Unknown Goddess took one of the sibling (and possibly brainwashed them) to help her fight against the Seven and 'rescue' the residents of the nation from total annihilation by changing them into Hilichurls in hope of preserving their souls, and plots for the future revenge against Celestia. Alas, with the nation of Khaneri'ah officially gone from the map and the residents going physical and mental transformation into something much alike to goblins, the Unknown Goddess lost most of her powers (remember that God's power in Teyvat comes from three things: 1: the history of the god itself, 2: number of their followers, and 3: the faith of their followers, which explains why present Morax still held more power compared to Venti in the past. Morax implied that he can singlehandedly handle Osial if Liyue fails to repel it, while the most Venti could do in present was summoning gust of wind, despite how he cleaved Dragonspine and leveled the mountains to turn Mondstadt into the plains it was now.) The reason why she, now known as Paimon, able to reappear on Teyvat is because the other Traveller, which is us, woke up. Us personally knowing the Unknown God and determined to seek her out must've counted as form of 'faith' that tips the scale and enables her to materialize, but at low-energy form; which is why Paimon is constantly hungry.
