    Bunch of punks before battle, if y'all lose you're gonna do the Electric Flower Car dance.
    (8+9 = phonetic approximation of 八家将. Used as slang here for "punk", "hooligan".
    電子花車 = (Taiwanese) Electric Flower Car. Literal strippers pole-dancing and stripping to honor the dead and "lower gods" and wandering spirits during some Taiwanese funerals. Actual Taiwanese cultural practice. This TL ain't making this up. [Though, prudes as usual are trying to stamp out this practice])

    Disclaimer: The Chinese Electric Batman Taiwanese Electric Flower Car is a real thing.

    There's even a documentary on this.

    IIRC it started off as something that gangsters used to do, then it became mainstream, and now it sort of went semi-underground again because prudes don't like it (plus the optics might not look so good to foreign tourists and business-people).
