Yep, Gluttonun threw the wet rag ball in the last strip and Half-bang wasn't convincing enough to evade punishment.

We can infer from Elvis duck that this is a post-fat Elvis time period... Or maybe Glasses is just very fashion forward.

I think that maybe it took place when Elvis was at it's hits. (late 50s to early 60's... of the 20th century, not on elvis himself). Which makes me think that. If the lastest post (halh-bang's mother's goodbye) was in, i think it could be on the 20's-30's, due to star nun being a kid in there, as well with the even more EARLIER post (mother Superior's first appearance and build of the church, which also introduced young Pancake nun), i think it was during the earlier 1900's.

There have been ATM machines and roller blades in this series. Given the time periods those things were widely known (not just when they were invented) this series either takes places sometime between the late 80s or modern times with tech stagnation.

I don't think it is happening so late. Right-bang' departure picture had a train ticket with a very old-styled steam engine train drawn on it. It is no guarantee, but I guess this should have been at least in times when air flight wasn't so accessible to general public.

We get a lot of mixed signals in the form of random references, but most of them are apparent joke. I'd say the events are somewhere in the late 19 century or, perhaps, early 20, because that would make the most sense regarding their lifestyle in general.

I like how the red star on the hungry nun reveals that she was the one throwing the rag ball in the previous picture.
