Reimu's more tied to the PCB spring theme than Marisa in fanon, and canonically is an easygoing spring-like person.

Marisa's given a more darkened palette, making her look more like a "fall".

However, Reimu is also more closely tied to the MoF characters than Marisa in fanon as well, and has a somewhat depressant personality - she takes things easy, and everything else relaxes around her if she's not getting riled up due to an incident, making her a good "Fall", which is usually associated with the slow crawl from the active summer to the inactive winter. The only problem being that her palette is a more cheerful color.

Likewise, Marisa is hyper and energetic, making her a great Summer or spring, when people are most active, and her SWR/Hisoutensoku weather is rain, which is generally associated with spring (April Showers, anyone?). The problem with her is really that her palette is of a less "active" color than reimu's red/white.

This makes me think this was drawn before TH10, or the artist didn't play it, or various other reasons why it was left out, which makes the point above about how Reimu is closer to the MoF cast than Marisa invalid as well.

All in all, I believe that of the playable characters, Marisa is more like an active 'summer' personality, Aya and her maple leaf theme from MoF and Hisoutensoku more accurately represent fall, Reimu's an easygoing spring, and Sakuya the unarguable harsh winter.

Cirno has Ice, Frogs and Watermelons.
