    possible reference to Bakemonogatari?

    After reading about the 'Monkey's paw' I think it's quite likely. I'll leave the tagging to someone who knows the series better, though.

    Given the tone, I don't think this could count as a parody. Maybe a generic 'reference' or 'shout_out' tag is in order?
