...When I was younger I used to live in manholes. I was a monster and it was fun back then, dragging innocent people into manholes and ate them. But the peaceful lifestyle didn't last long because a human claimed manholes is his home. So, he rallied other humans to fight against me. I lost and now I'm homeless but still eating people...

When I was younger I fought alongside the teenage mutant ninja turtles to reclaim the manholes from the monsters that had taken over the sewer system and steam tunnels.

...When I was a manhole, I blocked the secret portal that connected the underground world of the sewers to the bight streets of the surface. Few residents of both sides knew of the others' existence, some even considered the idea of monsters from the other side craziness. Little would they know how right they were...

...When I was younger, I created manholes to help integrate our society with the world below. I believed that segregation was a distressing idea and had no place in our culture. But when the jealous monster Gravity stole my bride, I realized my folly and vowed to reverse my mistakes, lest others suffer needlessly.

...When I was a young boy
My father took me into the manholes
    To see a marching band
He said,"Son, when you grow up
Would you be the savior of the broken
    The beaten and the damned??"

...When I was younger, my grandfather didn't tell me anything about manholes. I don't believe I've ever heard him mention them at all. I kinda wish he had, though. Maybe then I wouldn't be in this underground monster's stomach now.

...When I was younger my grandfather told me never to stare directly at the sun. So once when I was six I did. The doctors didn't know if my eyes would ever heal. I was terrified, alone in that darkness. Slowly, daylight crept in through the bandages, and I could see. But something else had changed inside me. That day I had my first headache.
