In Akame no Daiji, there's a description of a ninja for whom "it wasn't impossible to throw 18 weapons with one hand, or even 36 with both". Of course, we can surmise that it's based on primary sources, but perhaps the reason it seems so detached from reality is that it was written with no concern for such things as human limitations?
Whatever the case, I figured 3 in each hand was somewhat more reasonable here.
I really would like to see a true master do it sometime.
