Yeah, same artist as Groove Adventure Rave/Rave Master. That's why Plue is in it as one of Lucy's Stellar Spirits. Plus tons of Rave cameos. I've noticed that Hiro Mashima's style is very similar to Eiichiro Oda's, which isn't a bad thing. I just wonder if they have some kind of connection. I instantly fell in love with this series. After watching the first two episodes of the anime, I have been reading the manga like crazy, and will probably be caught up to the latest chapter in the next day or so.
It's too bad Fairy Tale is in Shounen Magazine instead of Shounen Jump. There'd be a lot of fun cross-overs.

Actually, yes, they DO have a connection. Hiro Mashima worked under Eiichirou Oda earlier in his manga career. It wasn't quite like a "mentor/student" thing. But Hiro Mashima was one of the employees who helped Eiichirou Oda draw his own manga, "One Piece".
They don't list it on Wikipedia or anything because it wasn't an official mentorship. Hiro Mashima's style is probably a lot like Oda's because he helped with the artwork of One Piece for the parts where Oda was overwhelmed. He was one of many, but he seems to be the only one who moved on with his own manga. It's pretty cool. Oda must be proud. X3
P.S.: Oda is a genius. No one else could have thought of what he did with Iron-Mask Duval. XD
