Koromodako "cloth octopus"
An octopus youkai known of in Kyoto prefecture, Kamiukawa Village, Sodeshi (present day Tangocho Sodeshi).
Rumored to be contained within seashells,
it is normally a small octopus, but when it spreads its "cloth" it becomes the size of six tatami mats
and wraps up ships and humans alike.
