I think it was because she prefers Natsuru's male form over the girl one, so she probably has no desire to do this.

After watching Episode 9 I arrived under the impression that Akane is actually the most appreciative of Natsuru's female form after Kaede.

Yeah, it's not actually that bad in Japanese. It just portrays her attitude a lot better that way in written English.
