The gist of it is that Alice met an ancestor of Reimu in Mystic Square. Which makes sense I suppose, but it seems that they made an oopsie with that one and made it the same Marisa, even though she hasn't yet used the spell to stop aging. ahh well. No one is perfect. And yes, This would be a really nice retelling of the story.
