The entire world works on favoritism. No exceptions. Even if you "Try" to be "Fair". Thats why I find things such as "Non-biased" Game/Anime reviews bullshit.

Not at all, actually. For one thing, in terms of "pure" art appreciation, all standards are subjective. There's no escaping this. Any moderation of what does and does not go on the site inherently includes the janitors imposing their standards on the site as a whole.
However, there is another side to this: there are quite a few users with janitorial powers, meaning that there are quite a few eyes that review the images uploaded as they go through the moderation queue on their way to being approved (or not). If that isn't enough, you can appeal it once in the forum. If it still doesn't get approved after that, then it's safe to assume that image was not one that belongs on Danbooru.
