One day, when Cirno and Daiyousei were playing in the woods, they stumbled across an egg. But it was no ordinary egg. It was brightly colored and sparkled like a star in the night sky.

Cirno is a lively and curious ice fairy. She could hardly take her eyes off the mysterious egg.

Daiyousei is also a fairy, and is Cirno’s kindhearted friend. She was slightly taken aback by what the two of them had found.

With their eyes glued to the mysterious egg, the two fairies chatted away.

“Was this here yesterday?”
“Hmm, I suppose it might have been.”
“Why is it sparkling even more than when we found it?”
“Hmm, maybe it’s because the Sun’s right above it.”

“Do you think I’m OK to touch it?”
“Hmm, it might be dangerous.”

There was excitement and suspense in the air as the pair’s back and forth continued.

The fairies sat before the mysterious egg, their eyes bright with anticipation. They couldn’t help but think something spectacular was about to occur. Then, all of a sudden…

“Whoa!”

The egg began to shine even brighter than before. That was it. The fairies’ curiosity could no longer be kept at bay.

“Surely it’s OK to give it a little touch.”

And so, they each reached out and laid a hand softly on the egg.

Common objects can often be confused for treasure and vice versa. The two fairies were awestruck by the glittering egg, but perhaps it wasn’t anything special.

A simple lack of knowledge led to them assuming a plain old egg was an object of great mystery. But don’t feel bad for them. Maybe next time, they’ll stumble across something even shinier!

Once again, Cirno and Daiyousei were playing in the woods. Perhaps today, they’ll find something mysterious. Like that shiny egg from before, you say? What egg would that be?…Anyway, forgot about that. There’s tons of exciting stuff out there just waiting to be found!

“Hey, what’s that over there?”
“Whoa, it’s amazing! Let’s go check it out!”
