I hope that's an airsoft gun. I don't think even someone with Shiho's clout could get away with doing that level of deadly training with a real firearm in Japan.

Definitly airsoft or BB! The bullets are spherical balls. There is a nice MP40 in 4,5 mm ( https://youtu.be/NCSetg9PNaA ), but those steel balls would hurt like hell and would cause wounds when fired at short range.
