Oripathy lesions are black crystals. Characters have had secondary mutations from getting oripathy, like Estelle growing massive horns, before.

Maybe originium in Endfield works differently?
No, it still works the same. Originium will only work differently if the patient has different vital functions, just like Doctor which is probably immune to them (being a 'human' in truest sense) or beings like Conviction/Nian and her extended families/'gods' like Kjera.
