I have no idea what Sukune is holding, much less what Mayumi is holding in her right hand. Is this enough to qualify for the haniwa misuse pool?
(Honestly, if it weren't for the fact that Len'en is very small (much less of Sukune themself), I'd probably ask for a similar pool just for them. They are just as bad not just in fanart, but in canon lol.)

Sukune is holding Mayoom’s baton. Presumably what Mayumi’s holding belongs to Sukune… and looking through canon material it appears to be a tool or something she had in the character art for Brilliant Pagoda or Haze Castle.
As for the Haniwa misuse pool for this image… I’d say it’s discounted, for the same reason Mayumi’s baton isn’t automatically counted. It’s not doing anything unusual, and it’s just being held by the character. It’s not something used to make a joke about the craftsman making everything haniwa (at least that I can see at a glance)
However, as the original creator of that pool, allow me to say… if you want to expand the pool’s definition, either to allow for this case or to include more general Len’en haniwa misuse, if YOU think it’s appropriate, by all means do it. Everyone on the site has the power to modify pools and their rules if they want, and if you think it will still preserve the spirit of the pool, you can add it in, with or without my permission.
I’ve been planning to drastically change the cannibal Yuyuko pool for a while now, to bring it more in line with other glutton pools like Akagi. And I only think that’s okay because the last time I suggested it, I got like 9 upvotes. I’d be completely hypocritical to do that and not encourage you to change the pool I made, if you think the change would be good.

You're right, those are the little toys they carried around in that game. I just had a brainfart because I just finished tagging this and didn't know what else to add for them, lol. And on that note, I was pretty sure it was disqualified, but I wanted to double check.
Oh, and thanks for the reminder on pools! It's an absolutely wonderful pool in my opinion, and since Sukune gets the exact same sort of jokes about haniwa misuse Keiki (and Mayumi by proxy) gets, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to add them in at some point. It's just that the Len'en tag is way too small for that type of pool (and I don't think Danbooru has any good demonstrations of Sukune's penchant for haniwa misuse at the moment), I'm just gonna leave it be. Though considering the joke of this image is that both are haniwa youkai, I'll probably revisit a proper expansion in the future if the Len'en tag ever gets big enough for that sort of thing. (Also, good luck on that Yuyuko pool!)

Making drastic changes to how a pool, or anything else for that matter, functions without at least bringing it up in the forums for opinions of people who actually maintain the site is not a good idea. The average user doesn't even know how to edit tags, just because the site is a "community effort" doesn't mean we actually want anyone and everyone just changing whatever they feel like at any time.

Comment votes are not a good indicator of something being a good idea. We have tens of thousands of users, at most 1% of them contribute to any notable degree, and 98% of them don't even know how to.

I did bring it up on the forums, about 6 months ago.
I asked on the forums because I’d already gotten partway into building the gluttony version before I discovered the cannibal one. Because I didn’t get any response on the forum, neither clamouring for it or saying I shouldn’t, I shelved working on it until recently, where a comment received a notably high positive response. Commenters wanted it and forum-goers didn’t seem fussed either way.
Add on that there’s an existing template for gluttony pools, used on several characters, and those pools incorporate the equivalent themes of the old one, and that if the pool was reworked, you could reasonably get the results of the old pool by using the theoretical new pools’ number and the “cannibalism” tag, I just felt there was plenty more reasons to work towards it than not.
