Ah, thanks. I always thought his name was supposed to reference gato meaning "cat" in Spanish.

I don't doubt that his name is supposed to mean cat. Gateaux and Gato are homophones. The words sound the same but have different meanings. When I said "He's Anavel Gateaux", I was trying to get the pun across.
