And secondly, regarding the third panel: do the kappas mean that the barrier is absorbing the strength of the youkai in the audience, or is it a metaphor to tell that the kappas are exhausted? And how can the onis recover just because the barrier is a bit weakened? Can they actually heal themselves if they have access to magic?
