Because it's not that unlikely at all. Tony the Tiger -> The Tiger-Patterned Vaisravana are connected by a pretty big similarity, the "tiger" part. Plus there's more than one of these depictions so it's obviously not that unlikely.

this doesn't make frosted flakes anymore edible in my book. but i can't say i didn't see this coming either...
