Although they could be forgiven for liking the Hawker P.1216 because it looks great; with the P.1214, one can only think that the designer's brain was infested with unidentified agents at the time. Of course I have selected this pairing by their names, however, I have the feeling that this peculiarity is very like Remilia. BTW, although the Vampire has a fuselage with a basic coating of matte duralumin, this makes it possible for it to have the generic Royal Air Force camouflage color and then to apply the invasion stripes, making it look rather stylish.
