    Well, I can't say that I blame you with Noel around. Stroy-wise, the girl is a magnet for trouble...
    And given that Makoto has likely have worked closely with Hazama.... it's hard not the see the storm clouds.

    Given that they got along rather well, I expect Makoto to do a Heel Face Turn somewhere down the line, considering the kind of horrible bastard Hazama will turn out to be. She may see it the hard way, though. :P

    Makoto's theme song is called "Alexandrite", which is a rare kind of gemstone that has a different color depending on whether it's reflecting natural sunlight or artificial light.

    This probably refers to Makoto's status as a double-agent for Sector 7.

    However, we know she's not really loyal to Sector 7 either, since she tells Tager that if he hurts Noel, she's gonna kill him. Whatever her reasons for working for Sector 7, her concern for Noel trumps them, since harming Tager would put her on the outs with Sector 7. Considering that she's also going to/does betray the NOL, that would be making enemies of the two most powerful organizations in the world. Noel is that important to her.

    In that same conversation with Tager, Makoto seems to offer an opinion on cloning when she refers to the t-rex skeleton; she seems to pity any creature born into a strange and hostile world in such an artificial manner.

    I'll wager that Makoto knows Noel is a clone, and she might even know she's a Murakumo unit being used as the Imperator's pawn. I'll wager the reason Makoto became a traitor to the NOL was to try and protect Noel from both the NOL as well as those in Sector 7 who --like Kokonoe-- would try to harm Noel for their own purposes.

    Wrapping all of this up, Noel is the heir to the Master Unit, named after the sun goddess Amaterasu. As I mentioned, alexandrite gemstones shine with a different color in sunlight than artificial light.

    Perhaps Noel is the sun that brings out Makoto's true colors?

    She's gonna need someone once

    Rachel makes her move on Ragna. It's pretty darn obvious she's the only one who truly loves him. While a gag ending, the Spectacles of Eros only don't work on Rachel. Now, this means one of two things, Rachel hates him so fully that it can't work. Or, Rachel truly loves him, and is beyond a 'crush' or infatuation. Throughout the first game, there were various cues here and there that showed that Rachel liked Ragna, but in CS, they ramp that up by quite a bit. They even start to show small hints of Ragna returning the feelings. Especially when he frees her from the prison which NO ONE should have been able to get out of. He also hangs around Rachel quite a lot. Basically, they'd both be tsundere for each other.

    That said, Red, you give a very good point. I didn't know about the theme song thing, but I was well aware of everything else you said.

    Here's hoping ASW doesn't screw it up and go the Noel route for Ragna...

    I'm not really sure if it'd hurt her standing with Sector 7. Sector 7 is a confederation and while they may work together on some things, they're not exactly a united front. They share technical expertise and trade resources. Their goals however are not necessarily the same at any given time.
