Actually that's the standard replacement of the the regular pokéball in touhoumon.

Pokemon Special chapter 01 vs mew a very early encounter with team rocket although they don't fight.
Just clearing some things up, offcourse this story doesn't follow the manga completely, it's touhoumon afterall...
