Technically speaking, it would be Breakout, not Arkanoid. Arkanoid added powerups to Breakout, but its predecessor was revolutionary to video games as a whole.
Now that I think about it, it sure did. The ball is allowed to bounce off the ground, your "paddle" can actually be destroyed by your own ball, and then random danmaku show up that you have to avoid. It truly is Touhou.
