Shinji was fucking Misato, Asuka, and Rei, knocking up the latter two. Asuka and Rei found out about Misato and tried to get her arrested, killed, or both. Misato did eventually get arrested and plead guilty to diddling Shinji and two other students, but got off with house arrest.
