Just like Sakurai-Mama, I'm starting to think that the boss is a wingman and has just found or fabricated an excuse to push things along, otherwise he has no reason to suddenly be in the same panel as Touko. Maybe they're sending 2 people overseas after all.

I felt more like the boss was there to deliver the news. It'd make more sense for it to come from the leading party since Igarashi and Takeda are partners, in a business sense.

Also as Sakurai I would not want to be the one delivering the news.
