Not effective in my country. People still think kids should be punished when they made mistakes here. They call it "right education".

I know what you mean. My grandparents were from the south and they brought it with them up here up north... along with a painfully thick "switch". And if you swore around them or try to be a smartass they would slap the ever loving taste out of your mouth.
I got spanked as a kid when I did something really bad, and you know what? I NEVER DID THAT THING AGAIN.
Now, there's a difference between a spanking and a beating, and beatings are bad, let's get that right out of the way, but spanking is a good thing, if you ask me. Give the kid the knowledge that there's an actual physical price for being a jackass...like there will be when they grow up and get sent to prison, or beaten up by people who won't put up with their crap.
Kids are too coddled nowadays....everything's too safe, there's no risk anymore. When I was a kid, we had lawn darts. It didn't take a genius-level IQ to realize 'Hey, this thing's big and heavy and pointy, and we're supposed to throw them, how about we *NOT STAND IN FRONT OF THEM*? The kids who were too stupid or too crazy not to figure that out learned pretty quickly when they tried it.
