Context: Master Duel is holding the "Xyz Cup" event, which is supposedly meant to be competed by Xyz decks (and I guess a tie-in to the new Kash secret pack).
But for some reason (probably to sell TY-PHON, an Xyz monster which can be theoretically summoned in almost every deck), they chose not to ban any of the non-Xyz decks like Mikanko or Lab, with a notable exception of Floo that actually place restrictions on special summoning.
Because of this, the event is filled to the brim with a bunch of non-Xyz deck that can reliably beat most of the common Xyz decks over, including Lab or Mikanko.
P.S. I guess I'm a part of the problem too, courtesy of Konami chose not to ban any Burn cards for this event, and therefore I chose Timelord Burn as my deck of choice.

Shame on you. I even made a new deck for this event (Exosister) instead of using Rikka (or even Mikanko like you said above).

Even worst that this is not a normal event that let's you progress even when losing, but a Duelist Cup that force you to play a mini ranked ladder to get all the rewards, with a restrictive card pool that you may not be familiar with no less.

I just play Labrynth in this event with some Rank 4 cards and Arc Rebellion Xyz Dragon. Maybe I should add some Rank 8s, too.
